I am unable to get openbsd 3.0 working on a machine with an adaptec
2940U2 SCSI controller. The install goes fine, but during disklabel
instead of an offset of 63 like normal, it starts with an offset of 1.
And then when it gets time to do an installboot, it says I have 1
sector and 255 heads, and then errors with "installboot: Too many
blocks". When I reboot the system, I get "Using drive 0 Partition 3",
but if I pop in the floppy and do a boot hd0a:/bsd it boots up fine,
and I included a dmesg from the system after doing just that. I tried
going through an install and specifying 63 as an offset instead of 1,
but I got the same results. Also doesn't matter if I say yes or no to
the "use the entire disk for openbsd" question during install. A quick
search on google shows a few other people with the same problem, but
nobody with an answer, or even a reply of any kind. Is there any more
information needed?
