This is the first port I've ever done and I've got a few questions
about the best way to resolve some issues with a few apps in the
kdeutils-2.1.1 pack. Some of the applications are (seem to me) linux
specific and don't function under OpenBSD but fortunately OBSD already
has other (better ;) ways of doing these same jobs.

Is the best answer just to remove these problem apps from the pack or
is there a better way to deal with it?

The KDEutils-2.1.1 Applications include:
ark: manage and quickly extract archives
kab: an address book
KArm: time tracker for different projects
KCalc: desktop calculator
KCharSelect: character selector for font sets
KDiskFree utility to monitor disk usage and mount/unmount
KEdit: simple text editor
Kfind; graphical replacement for the find utility
KHexEdit: versatile hex and binary editor
KJots: note-keeper applet
kljettool: configures LaserJet printers
klpq: manage jobs in the print spoolers
knotes: a pop up notes application

KDEpasswd: (REMOVED: unsafe -bad lock) password change utility
KDEssh (REMOVED: unsafe -not sgid) starts a secure shell
KFloppy: (REMOVED: -uses linux mkdosfs) format a floppy disk
KLaptopDaemon: (REMOVED: -uses linux APM) provides battery management
kpm: (REMOVED: -linux only) view RAM, swap, file, socket
and
other process information. Manage processes and send
                signals like SIGHUP etc.
KTimemon: (REMOVED -?) display information on CPU memory/swap
usage, paging/swapping and context switch activity

I've got the port working well without the REMOVED apps but, of
course, I'm still testing it. I might be able to get KTimemon working
on OpenBSD but I'm really not sure at the moment.

Any input would be appreciated.

And thanks to Marc Espie, David Lebel, Brad Smith and all the other
porters. I've learned a lot from your patches and scripts.

Best Regards,
JCR
