I've looked a bit at kdemultimedia. It's a bit harder to port than
other kde sub-projects, somewhat more linux-dependent.
And it uses a libmpeg, which conflicts with gimp's libmpeg.

However, the main reason it's not running yet is a linking operation.
I've had rather big ld's out of kde, but this one beats them all.

I've cranked ulimit -d all the way to 1GB of memory, and seen ld gobble it,
megabyte after megabyte... and it's still not enough.

I'm completely getting completely killed by dependent libraries, that
libtool likes overly too much.

This is totally insane.
