Hi,

I am getting the following error message on pccom1 from ppp:

    ` /bsd: pccom1: 3 silo overflows`

dmesg | more
.....
pccom at isa0 port 0x2f8 irq3: ns16650a, 16 byte fifo
.....

so it is genuine National Semiconductor 16650a chip set on the
motherboard (GigaByte GA686SLX Version 1.5).

The modem is a genuine Hayes Optima 336 V.34/V.FC+FAX+VOICE
Model Number: 5345AU Version 6.5.

I am using Netscape v4.61 (downloaded from the OpenBSD site - missing
from the 2.6 CD).

I used this setup with FreeBSD v3.3, Solaris v7.0 and SCO OpenServer
5.0.x,
and I never had overflow problems.

Can somebody explain, please?
