The main difference is that this OS works!!!!
Now, if you can understand C code and shell programming,
and have a little patience, you will get to the point of no
return... this is when you find out that when something
goes wrong, you can actually patch the software / ask for
patching, and voila! all is working fine again
(something unthinkable in the MS / Novell / SCO world).
And then one day you sit on a commercial-OS machine and a chilly
cold goes down your spine: you realize that you cannot control it.
You feel uneasy, knowing you cannot tweak it.
That day, man, you have become a hacker.
