Perhaps I should clarify. `more uptodate' means that the ports maintainer
happened to notice that it needed a 'USE_LIBTOOL=Yes' in the Makefile.
For the date answer, cvs log Makefile states, amongs other things:

date: 2001/02/19 17:44:52; author: danh; state: Exp; lines: +1 -2
use included libtool; sync patches
[..]
date: 2001/02/17 11:57:18; author: jakob; state: Exp; lines: +0 -0
