        The SiS chipset that this particular card uses is not very
well-designed. I used it for a firewall recently (I used to swear by the
FA310TX, when they were real Tulip and hadn't bought a PCI NIC since).
Netgear apparently chaged the chipset here to a braindead one, whose
driver for *BSD isn't very good, nor robust.
