Because after 4 months of trying, we are at our wit's end.  If you like,
you could pay me for the time it will take me to be nice to adaptec,
not get our users involved, and still be able to pay the mortgage.

In other words, you want them to use crap (something you know about),
rather than quality?  Sure, why not.
